In 2026, America celebrates a milestone summer 250 years in the making. At The Beach Club, we’re marking the occasion the best way we know how: with a season full of classic summer moments, family traditions, and nights that end with fireworks over the Gulf.
America 250: A Summer of Traditions is our way of celebrating America’s 250th birthday through moments that feel meaningful, relaxed, and unmistakably beachside. It is not about creating a packed schedule or one big event; it’s about building a season around the simple joys that bring families back to Alabama’s beaches year after year.

Freedom Fridays: Your New Weekly Tradition
Every Friday from Memorial Day weekend through August, the party starts at 7:30 PM and doesn’t stop until the last spark fades from the sky.
Head to the Clubhouse Pool for the Freedom Fridays Viewing Party, available to resort guests for $10 per person. You’ll find live music, fire dancers set against the twilight, a photo booth ready to capture your crew in full patriotic mode, and a face painter turning kids into walking works of red, white, and blue. There’s swag, energy, and that unmistakable feeling that something special is happening and you’re right in the middle of it.
Then at 9 PM sharp, the fireworks start. Colorful lights explode high over the Gulf and reflect off the waves like giant, shimmering stars. You can stretch out on the beach for a front-row seat, watch from the pool, or hang back on your balcony–there are no bad angles at The Beach Club. It’s the kind of moment that turns the end of every week into something worth celebrating.

Family Traditions Beyond the Fireworks
The fireworks are the grand finale, but Freedom Fridays pack in plenty of fun before the sky lights up. You’ll find America 250 vibes all across the resort that turn your summer beach trip into something a little more star-spangled.
Patriotic cocktails are available at every bar, featuring stars, stripes, and plenty of American spirit. Coast and The Village Hideaway roll out themed specials that put a patriotic twist on Gulf Coast favorites. And for anyone with a sweet tooth, the Creamery’s America 250 sundaes deliver a sugar rush dressed in red, white, and blue.
The Village Lawn joins the fun with amped-up activities and entertainment, while The Village Mercantile offers exclusive America 250 souvenirs that make easy keepsakes.

Tie-Dye with Toby
Toby the Turtle is going full tie-dye this summer, and he wants you to join him. During special craft sessions throughout the season, you can create your own patriotic tie-dye shirts alongside everyone’s favorite turtle. Fair warning: it gets messy. There will be dye on hands, maybe on faces, and definitely on shirts. That’s part of the fun.
You’ll leave with something you made yourself, and often with one of those small memories that ends up meaning a lot more later.
Check the Resort Guide for session dates and times.
