Top Events for a Spectacular Gulf Shores 4th of July 2019

The Alabama Coast does a bang-up job of celebrating Independence Day with plenty of all-American activities set around the area. From events that honor our military, to fantastic fireworks and concerts, these Gulf Shores 4th of July 2019 activities will get you in the flag-waving spirit. Read on for a few of our favorites.

Gulf Shores 4th of July Events


World War 1 and WW11 Photo Gallery Living History Event
Fort Morgan Historic Site offers this special event with an array of photos depicting domestic life, recreation, military training, medical and cavalry at the Fort during WWI. The galleries will be stationed inside the Fort from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 2. Living history re-enactors, dressed in period clothing, will be stationed throughout the Fort to answer questions and provide additional information. Bring a lawn chair and sit where the citadel once stood to enjoy the sounds of the 151st Army Band. General admission applies for this Gulf Shores 4th of July 2019 event.


Fireworks Extravaganza at The Beach Club
Your family will enjoy a calendar chock-full of festivities, competitions and fireworks to celebrate Gulf Shores 4th of July 2019. The 2019 Fireworks Extravaganza will take place from a barge, allowing guests to remain on the beach for an evening of fun during the show! Guests can reserve a beach chair in advance for fantastic viewing of the 9 p.m. fireworks on July 4th. Chair reservations must be made no later than Tuesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. and are $10 each. City of Gulf Shores
Watch a stunning display of fireworks during the Gulf Shores Fourth of July Celebration. Fireworks are shot from the south end of the 1,500-foot fishing pier, making Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores Public Beach and surrounding areas ideal locations for spectators. Come early for a free parking spot at Gulf State Park Lake Shelby, then have dinner at one of the food trucks, listen to music and relax at the lake. Spectators can walk across the new pedestrian bridge to watch the fireworks at the Pier at 9 p.m. or just pull up a lawn chair and stay at the lake.

OWA in Foley
If you’re in nearby Foley, enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration at OWA. OWA celebrates Independence Day with family-friendly activities, live entertainment throughout the property, and a spectacular fireworks show at 8:45 p.m. to cap-off the night. Celebrate with a fun day in the streets of admission-free Downtown OWA — grab a delicious lunch, enjoy live performances throughout the day, dance to GLOWA at night, then sit back and enjoy the fireworks show over Lake OWA.


Blue Angels
Watch the Blue Angels Practice! The team travels the country, but returns home to NAS Pensacola most weeks. In order to stay proficient in their demanding routine, they fly practice performances on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during airshow season (March through November). Practices typically begin at 11:30 a.m. and last about 55 minutes. Public viewing is available at the National Naval Aviation Museum at no cost.

Rascal Flatts at The Wharf
Hear great country music as C Spire Concert Series presents the Rascal Flatts Summer Playlist Tour at The Wharf Amphitheatre. Tickets are on sale at or The Wharf Box Office at 800-745-3000.


The Wharf
Keep the party going and head over to The Wharf in Orange Beach on July 6 for the Independence Day Street Party & Fireworks, from 5-9 p.m. Enjoy live entertainment, kid-friendly activities, glow-in-the-dark American flags, face painting and more. Free admission, though some attractions have a charge.

4th of July Activities at The Beach Club

Of course, you can always make your beach chair your home for the week, put some watermelon in your cooler and soak up sun, sand and star-spangled fun right on the beach at The Beach Club for your Gulf Shores 4th of July 2019 vacation. We have plenty of activities right onsite to help your family enjoy the holiday.

  1. Blue Angels? It says July 5 but that is a Friday
    not a Tuesday or Wednesday ?
    And what happened to movie night by the pool, I was sure i saw that on a summer schedule of events.
    Is this a complete schedule of events?
